USF Applied Behavior Analysis

About Our Undergraduate Minor

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) involves the application of scientific principles and concepts to understand and change behavior. Courses in the ABA Minor will teach students the skills they need to provide ABA services to help people change their behavior.

A person that provides ABA services is called a Behavior Analyst. Behavior Analysts work in areas such as Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Special Education, Education, Parent Training, and Organizational Behavior Management, just to name a few. Our courses:

  • Teach you skills that you can use now

  • Help you find a job

  • Prepare you for certification in ABA

  • Prepare you for a graduate program in ABA

Certification as a Behavior Analyst

Students who study ABA can become certified as a Behavior Analyst once they obtain their degree. In order to become certified, students must take approved coursework in ABA, gain supervised field experience, and pass a certification exam. Individuals who are certified at the bachelor's level are in high demand in the Tampa Bay area and throughout the US.
